Not everyone has video animation in the budget, but it’s a powerful tool when done right. Together, we can help the world. We let each client choose from a list of nonprofits or small businesses in need. We’ll then provide a free 30-second animation from our team. Something we can all be proud of.

2D Animation
Commonly used in product and brand explainers. Often includes characters who help a viewer understand product benefits.
Whiteboard
Whiteboard animation consists of bold, black strokes that are sometimes colored in with optional hand movement.
Augmented Reality
Animation and effects that appear over the top of live-action video to enhance or emphasize key features.
Infographic
Infographics help interpret complex scenarios, often requiring data visualization and iconography.
Product Demo
Beneficial for software, web, and mobile apps; showcases key features on re-created interfaces and screen recordings.
Script Writing
Scripts are typically written in 2 columns aligning the talk track with visual cues. We have talented script writers if needed.

We’ve developed a tried and true process while building thousands of projects and working with dozens of clients. We assign a dedicated producer whose first focus is to understand your needs and goals. From there, we guide the process from concept to delivery, including 5 main stages:

Our Story
One day a Pakistani and an American decided to make an animated video together. This one animation led to many more video animations and during the process, they realized there was a better way to run an animation company. The process would be transparent, collaborative, and one that would allow every animation they made to help do even more good.
Hunter, the American, became an Edmund Hillary Fellow and decided New Zealand was the right place to base this business. Umer, the Pakistani, leads the creative team in Pakistan.

Why Wanaka Animation?
Put simply, we work hard to make you happy. We believe in quality video animation that gets results and we won’t stop working on your animation until you are satisfied. We’ve built a company that allows us to create maximum value for you while maintaining transparency and allowing for collaboration along the way.
How much will my video cost?
It depends on what you need completed. Factors like length, style, and how fast you need the video are the main factors of cost. In general, though, a one-minute custom illustrated animation costs $5 to 7000 NZD.
How long will my video take?
We generally schedule the animation process to take 8 weeks. This allows plenty of time to collaborate with you and provide revisions as needed. If you need the video faster, we offer a 4 week or 6 week schedule for additional cost. Please contact us if you need it even faster.
How involved will I need to be?
We like our clients to invest some time up front to make sure we get on the right track. But once we’re cranking on the creative, things will move pretty fluidly and not require too much time. Our goal is to keep you in the know and able to comment as we go, but not to add any stress to your life.
Should I invest in more than one video?
This all depends on your objectives and goals, but we often find companies that successfully use video animation can benefit from additional videos. It really depends on your product or service, but we’d be happy to discuss options with you if you have high volume needs.
